What A Warm Welcome!
Greetings to you from the Pastor’s Desk at Saint John.
To the community of Saint John Lutheran church, thank you for a wonderful welcome to this amazing congregation and community.
If you are visiting the Green Bay area, and happen to find yourself anywhere near Saint John on a Sunday morning, let me tell you from my own personal experience and what I have seen as we begin our ministry here together: this is a vibrant, healthy, loving congregation full of amazing people of faith and love and you will be welcome here.
So join me please in learning about and falling in love with this church community. Let’s see how God is moving here amongst these people and the work they are doing for those outside and inside these walls. Let’s be helpers and caring adults for children near and far as they grow into adulthood. Let’s share in their joys as they experience and explore the world. Let’s care for the daily needs of those are without the material sufficiency we can easily take for granted and be reminded about the real value of people versus the value we place on the stuff we might have. And let us walk with each other and share and learn from one another about the gifts of a life lived in love and kindness for the world.
In short, let us together strive to follow our savior, and, as St. John Lutheran Church has put it, “Believe there is good in the world. Be the good.”
I’ve gotten a little taste of this life as I’m becoming a part of the St. John community, and I’d love for you to share in this joy too. This is too good a thing to keep to yourself.
