The Trust Fund for St. John was established with the intent of providing our church with “extra” funding above and beyond what the regular budget would allow.
The Trust Fund is divided into 2 distinct parts:
- The Memorial Fund − 100 percent of any gift to this fund must be spent for the designated purpose
- The Perpetual Fund − only the earned interest from this fund can be spent… the principle can never be touched.
If a gift is un-designated, the Trust Fund team can use it to support any request that comes before the group. A “designated” gift can only be spent for the purpose it was designated.
Since inception the Trust Fund has been fortunate to be included in a few estates and the team has managed funds well. As this ministry continues to grow we ask you to consider naming the St. John Lutheran Church Trust Fund in your will and/or estate plan.
Gifts to the Trust Fund are welcome at any time, whether they be for specific memorials or for a specific purpose − like the scholarship program.
