Trust Fund

Front of churchThe Trust Fund for St. John was established with the intent of providing our church with “extra” funding above and beyond what the regular budget would allow.

The Trust Fund is divided into 2 distinct parts:

  • The Memorial Fund − 100 percent of any gift to this fund must be spent for the designated purpose
  • The Perpetual Fund − only the earned interest from this fund can be spent… the principle can never be touched.

If a gift is un-designated, the Trust Fund team can use it to support any request that comes before the group. A “designated” gift can only be spent for the purpose it was designated.

Since inception the Trust Fund has been fortunate to be included in a few estates and the team has managed funds well. As this ministry continues to grow we ask you to consider naming the St. John Lutheran Church Trust Fund in your will and/or estate plan.

Gifts to the Trust Fund are welcome at any time, whether they be for specific memorials or for a specific purpose − like the scholarship program.

Worship and building updates

September 21, 2022

The Congregation Council has amended its Covid-19 protocol.  Effective September 21, 2022, St. John will no longer be requiring that masks be worn based upon the Brown County Covid-19 Community Transmission Rate.  Any individual who needs to or prefers to wear a mask is welcomed to do so. The Congregation Council will continue to monitor the situation and adjust these protocols as needed.

The 8:00 a.m. (9:00am summer) service will be livestreamed and available on our YouTube channel.

The Council continues to review information from health officials and will modify our guidelines as is appropriate.

Creating a positive impact

We’re a congregation that cares. As Christians, we care about others and strive to have a positive impact on other people’s lives. Whether it’s someone in our congregation, our community or our world, we’re there in times of need, in times of joy and all the times between.

We demonstrate our caring spirit every day. We volunteer. We reach out to charitable organizations.  Whether it’s painting a house, donating food or raising funds to buy fruit trees for others across the globe, we help our neighbors in need. Read more about our people and our congregation »
